One example of authorities threatening me to not be myself is the principals, security, and teachers for dress code. They don't let us wear what we want. Just for wearing a tank top or a strapless shirt they send us to the office to change instead of letting us stay in class and learn. I doubt our shoulders will distract the teachers from teaching or even any other student. But by taking us out of class to go change they're taking away time that we could be during our work just for showing shoulder. An example of an authority letting me being my best self is a teacher or parent who will always encourage you to do your best and one who has hope that you will succeed.
