Fahrenheit 451 essay

All people have their own and different attitudes and way of thinking, but Clarisse and Beatty are by far the most different i know. They both have a completely different way of seeing things. Ray Bradbury uses tone and diction to get the reader to understand how each of the characters is and thinks is. Beatty is more strict and goes by the rules that others in the past have imposed just because he thinks its right and doesn't wonder if there is another way of doing things. On the other hand Clarisse is very curious of how things happen and why.
The way the author uses diction and tone to describe Beatty is by making Beatty seem mean and ignorant about others beliefs and opinions. when Beatty goes to visit Montag when he is sick Mildred does everything he tells her to do very fast as if he would do something to her if she didn't. Also the way Ray Bradbury phrases him makes him sound very demanding and rude. When he talks about Clarisse in very bad ways it helps the reader understand how ignorant he is about others.
Clarisse sounds like a very intelligent girl by all the questions she has. The only reason the people in that town thinks shes odd is because of her way of thinking which is very different from everyone else. she wants to learn new things ad wants to know about the past. The difference in the diction Ray Bradbury uses for Beatty and Clarisse is that for Clarisse he makes all that she says surprise Montag and changes him for the better.
All the things Beatty told Montag were orders never good conversations about life. That is because he doesn't care he just wants to burn books because that is all he knows. With Clarisse it is different because she makes him start wondering new things. Also shes the one who makes him change and have a different personality. Just because of talking to Clarisse who is just a little girl it made Montag change from being like the rest and became his real original self. That is one of the biggest examples of the difference the tone and diction Ray Bradbury uses to determine how both characters are.
