Fahrenheit 451 essay

All people have their own and different attitudes and way of thinking, but Clarisse and Beatty are by far the most different i know. They both have a completely different way of seeing things. Ray Bradbury uses tone and diction to get the reader to understand how each of the characters is and thinks is. Beatty is more strict and goes by the rules that others in the past have imposed just because he thinks its right and doesn't wonder if there is another way of doing things. On the other hand Clarisse is very curious of how things happen and why.    The way the author uses diction and tone to describe Beatty is by making Beatty seem mean and ignorant about others beliefs and opinions. when Beatty goes to visit Montag when he is sick Mildred does everything he tells her to do very fast as if he would do something to her if she didn't. Also the way Ray Bradbury phrases him makes him sound very demanding and rude. When he talks about Clarisse in very bad ways it helps...

The choices we make  are very important because they don't only affect you but also everyone around you. Sometimes you may think that the littlest choices don't matter but when they all start adding up they might turn out to be the ones that have the biggest impact on you. For example, you probably don't think that not doing your homework is a big choice but every time you think to yourself  " oh its just one it won't affect my grade ",  all the assignments start adding up and by the end your grade will have changed so fast when you thought it wasn't such a big deal. All choices lead to actions and those actions will determine how your future will be. When making a choice you have to take your time and  think it through, always think of how it may affect you and  even the ones around you not just in the present but also in the future. No matter what the outcome is good or bad, know that everything you overcome makes you a stronger wiser person.

From reading self reliance i have learned to always follow your own ideas not what others want you to think. No matter what people think or might say to you, you should never want to change just to fit in because being yourself is always better.
